mini v wheel unit assembly

Assemble the mini v wheel.
The following parts are required to assemble a mini v wheel. (All of them are included in above the parts list ）

  1. mini v wheel
  2. 2× Mini bearings
  3. Shim for mini v wheel
  4. M5×30 hexagon socket head cap screw

Please push the mini bearing into the mini v wheel. Push firmly until the end.

This is a state in which to insert the one side.

Please insert the M5x30 hexagon socket head cap screw from the inserted side of mini bearing.

Please put one shim for mini v wheel. This shim is used to prevent the mutual interference of two bearings.

Insert the mini v wheel.

This state means the completion of the mini v wheel. Please assembly four mini v wheels in the same way.

The assembly of the mini v plate X-axis

Protective sheet is pasted on the both sides of acrylic. Please peel them off first.
All of the acrylic are covered by protective sheet. Please peel them off before use.

Assemble of the mini v plate X-axis
The following parts are required to assemble a mini v plate X-axis. (All of them are included in above the parts list ）

  1. mini v plate x-axis (Acrylic)
  2. mini v wheel (Pre-assembled)
  3. Spacers for mini v wheel
  4. Washer for mini v wheel
  5. 2× M5 washer
  6. M5 Nylon Insert Hex Locknut
  7. M5×30 hexagon socket head cap screw

This is the order to install a mini v wheel. There are four mounting holes enclosed in red. Please install them from right.

  • M5×30 hexagon socket head cap screw
  • mini v wheel unit
  • Washer for mini v wheel
  • Spacers for mini v wheel
  • M5 washer
  • Plate (Acrylic)
  • M5 washer
  • M5 Nylon Insert Hex Locknut

Please be care of the orientation you are installing. As you can see two red mark circles are described the holes “mini v plate X-axis”.

Please be careful that you do not make a mistake about the order.

Tighten up the hex key and spammer. Please leave tighten lightly so that you can adjust in a later step.

Please fully tighten up.

Please leave the other two tighten lightly, because they will be used to adjust the V-slot.

Attach to 450mm V-slot

Please insert the 450mm V-slot to the completed mini v plate X-axis unit.

Slide from one side. The orientation does not matter. But make sure that the mini v wheel fits into the groove of the V-slot when you slide it.

The adjustment of V-slot will be easy to understand if you refer to the “V-slot adjustment“.

Then tighten up the mini v wheel fully that had been left tighten lightly.
Please press the both sides of the mini v wheel units when you tighten them up to make sure the V-slot close to the ground.

Try to move up and down to make sure that there is no backlash. Please loosen the mini v wheel of the same place and do the same work again. Because if there is a backlash or clearanc, it will affect the vibration and behavior.
